United States Postal Service Carrier Annex

This $3,500,000 mail hub annex was a newly constructed 26,000 sf mail distribution facility, incorporating mail truck storage, loading docks, employee lockers, and storage space.

The USPS Carrier Annex project was located on a very marginal site with rock and unsuitable soils; therefore, the foundation support structure was designed and constructed, consisting of caissons with grade beams, and structural concrete walls and slabs. The site required all new infrastructure work including storm drainage, new electric service, new gas service, new sanitary /water service, and all new surface parking.

The project was funded by the federal government and completed in 18 months.
